Summer has gone. Officially. On the calendar, as well under this grey, heavy and steadily rainy Saturday morning sky. There's little to do. Antonella is shooting new photos for the coming Xmas collection. I wander on the web, in search of something that makes my day. Looking through my favorite old photography links, my eyes fell the following definitions of Fine Art Photography:

1. Fine-art photography is the expression of a work resulting from the creative vision of the photographer as an artist. The purpose of fine art photography is to express a message or emotion. It differs from figurative photography, such as photojournalism, which displays a documentary visual account of specific subjects and events, faithfully representing objective reality rather than the subjectivity of the photographer's intention.

2. Fine-art photography is photography created in line with the vision of the photographer as artist, using photography as a medium for creative expression. The goal of fine-art photography is to express an idea, a message, or an emotion. This stands in contrast to representational photography, such as photojournalism, which provides a documentary visual account of specific subjects and events, literally representing objective reality rather than the subjective intent of the photographer; and commercial photography, the primary focus of which is to advertise products, or services.

From there, I jumped into the different definitions given on Wikipedia at the voice "Fine Art Photography". And since I was not totally satisfied, I turned back to the definition left for "Fine Arts". Which makes me wonder: "What have I been doing so far?"
