This is more or less how it feels at the end of the year, after a long relentless race to close three designs in a row and the company asks you to evaluate yourself against the so called "core values" and your initially assigned goals. A dried apple. One who has given all he could and just need some rest. Here your ability to stop the internal turmoil of thoughts and take all the needed time ti reflect on your deeds is crucial ... if you want to take it home.
[Poetry] may make us from time to time a little aware of the deeper unnamed feelings which form the substratum of our being, to which we rarely penetrate; for our lives are mostly a constant evasion of ourselves. T.S.Eliot

Lunch Break
I'm engaging again myself on a daily walk, at lunch-time, to compensate the forced immobility my body is subject to in this opening of the cold season. Deciding when to get out is the most challenging thing: it's been raining hard all the time and the working schedule before Xmas is "full like an egg". A view from the bridge is a mandatory stop, even if under reconstruction.

Yet another day
Wake up call at 5:00 a.m., hotel check out with the night guard, drive back to the Airport with a couple of navigation mistakes, running on the highway to be in Nice before 6:00 a.m., rental car return, shuttle to Terminal 1, walk, run, luggage drop, controls, undress and dress again, little shopping for the family, mistakes, breakfast with the hottest cappuccino in the history, undrinkable, boarding call, queue for access to the aircraft and, when you start asking yourself what's all this for, the sun comes out of the sea. This saves the day.
